Calling students, families, educators, & businesses!
How do kids choose their career pathway? While that decision might happen in a variety of ways, one consistent influence is family. It’s not uncommon for kids to follow in the footsteps of their parents, grandparents, or family friends. When it comes to community & career connected learning, engaging students in conversations and experiences around career exploration and community opportunities happen best when family members are included. Parents’ support, or lack of support, directly impacts whether students follow a specific career pathway.
On Wednesday, November 1, BB2C will host their annual Family Career Awareness Day. The event is from 4 – 7 p.m. at the Junior Fair Building at the Washington County Fairgrounds. Over fifty businesses will be on-hand to connect with students, families, and educators. Students and families will receive a career cluster “passport” with conversation prompts to help guide them. Pizza, provided by Dough Boyz Pizza, will be provided. Door prizes will be raffled off throughout the evening. All are welcome; no registration is required for students, families, or educators.
