The doors for Varsity Boys and Girls Basketball games will not open until 5:15 pm, to allow our teams to finish their practices.

The Fort Frye FFA Novice Parliamentary Procedure team competed in the state competition today. The group advanced past the preliminary round earning the title of STATE FINALISTS and Top 5 team in the state of Ohio. The group competed in the finals this afternoon and will know their results, soon. We are really proud of this outstanding group!

Second nine weeks interims are posted to Infinite Campus. There will be a two hour delay for professional development this Monday, December 4.

Congratulations to the Fort Frye FFA Novice Parliamentary Procedure Team! On November 17th the team placed second in the District 10 contest and earned a ticket to the state competition. The state contest will be held this Saturday, December 2nd in Columbus. This group of girls demonstrated hard work, dedication, and perseverance learning how to properly demonstrate Robert’s Rules of Order, debate, and take a written test in Parliamentary law. We are so proud of this achievement! Team members include from left to right: Mollie Lang, Kallie Boley, Hannah Weiker, Alyssa White, Lucy Baker, Alyssa Lang, Haven Shilling and Reagan Witten.

Congratulations to the FFHS Students that earned a spot on the Shield of Excellence for the 1st 9 weeks. Congratulations to the Senior Class of 2024 for winning the 1st Quarter Class Competition. Students attending classes at FFHS compete by Grade Level in overall GPA average, percent of discipline per student in the class, and overall class attendance. An ecumenical group of community members are working together to offer the 2023 Christmas Day Feast. The ministry to the Marietta and surrounding area is free and available to anyone needing a free hot meal for themselves and their families on Christmas Day. Dine-in, pick-up, or delivery are options for the meals with everything taking place at the K of C Hall on Franklin Street in Marietta, Ohio. Thanksgiving Break for Fort Frye Wednesday November 22nd through Monday November 27th. We will return to school on Tuesday November 28th. Students that attend the Career Center do have school on Wednesday November 22nd and busses will run for them that day. Everyone have a Happy Thanksgiving and enjoy some time with family and friends.

The JV/Varsity Girls Basketball game on Wednesday November 22...we will play only one half of JV starting at 6:00 pm followed by the Varsity game.

Congratulations to FFHS Sophomore, Parker Burris for earning a position on the Ohio Department of Health (ODH) Teen Wellness Team for the 2023-2024 program year! This was a very competitive process with over 650 applications submitted. The Teen Wellness Team is a unique opportunity for teens in Ohio to: * Learn about ODH and public health. * Get paid $14 an hour to provide feedback on programs that impact youth. * Meet students from all over the state. * Work in teams to problem solve and improve programs for youth. We are proud of Parker and know he will have an outstanding contribution on the team!

Need help paying for Drivers Education? A Drive to Succeed Grant is available for those who qualify. The student must be 15 1/2 years old with a driving permit. Information for tomorrows playoff football game. Spectator parking is located at 1312 Granville Pike. Parking is $5 per vehicle. They are asking to not show up before 4:15 pm. Gates will open at 5:30 pm. Handicap parking located at 901 E. Fair Ave.
