Today some students were rewarded with ice cream from Andy the Armadillo from Texas Roadhouse. These students sold $500 or more in gift cards during our recent PTO fundraiser. Thank you to the students and to Texas Roadhouse.

This week, Salem-Liberty is honoring a former student, Josie Treadway, who passed away suddenly last year. Josie was always a giving and caring person. Throughout the week, students have been recognized for performing various acts of kindness. Our goal is to promote kindness while encouraging students to live life as Josie did, with intention and care for others. #kindnessmatters #beajosie

Fort Frye Local Schools will be closed on Friday, January 30th. This is school closing day number 11. There is no remote learning on Friday for students. The district will be doing a make-up day for tomorrow. The make-up date will be Monday, February 16. Thank you.

Tomorrow evening's District Spelling Bee is canceled due to the ongoing winter weather and poor road conditions. The district will use the makeup inclement weather date for the District Spelling Bee. The District Bee will now be held on February 5, 2026, at 6:00 pm at the Fort Frye High School auditorium. Thank you.

Fort Frye will be closed tomorrow on Thursday, January 29, 2026. This is school closing day #10. There will be remote learning tomorrow, January 29. Tomorrow will be our last remote learning day then we will switch to make-up days if there are more school closings. Please contact the school principal or superintendent with questions. Good morning families! As we all know, winter weather is certainly unpredictable and we didn’t anticipate having difficulty getting everyone to school safely today so Chrome books were not sent home yesterday. We will have a simplified version of remote learning today as we know that many people need the Chromebooks in order to make it successful. We will post a few activities to attempt today, then tomorrow we will make sure that everyone has access and time to engage with activities, and we will extend the amount of time for students to complete the tasks given today. We appreciate your flexibility as we work with winter weather!
