Salem-Liberty Elementary

JUST A REMINDER: Families of Salem-Liberty, I cannot believe the first day of school is right around the corner. With this being said, please know we are not able to hold our annual open house like in years past simply due to the timing. Our teachers have professional development all day Tuesday through Thursday; therefore, they are not able to finish up their classrooms until Friday late afternoon. Please know I am not able to bring in families to view the rooms on a Friday night. Then Labor Day takes place the following Monday, so Monday evening is off limits as well. With this being said, we do want to allow you the opportunity to bring in your child’s supplies if you would like so they are not carrying as much on their first day. Supply drop off will take place Thursday, August 31st from 6:00-7:00 pm in the cafeteria. You will come to the back doors of the cafeteria and a PTO member will help you to place them in a bag to keep them sorted and then we will get these supplies to your child’s classroom teacher. Please know you will NOT be visiting the classroom except for the upcoming kindergarten. In closing, if your child would rather bring his or her items with them on Tuesday, Sept 5th that is perfectly fine. We just wanted to provide this opportunity. Yesterday Salem-Liberty held STEAM day. STEAM Day helps the students learn how to work together, solve problems, and persevere even when problems seem too difficult to solve. It was an enjovable day of learning, ingenuity, and "Moana" themed fun!

First grade had a "wild" time at the WILDS today.

The fifth grade class went to camp middle school. They participated in many team building and get to know you activities throughout the day.

2nd grade had the most amazing time on their field trip to Wittens Farm!!

Today was the wellness jump rope challenge at recess. Winners were: RaeLynn Ruble (kindergarten) and Charlotte Lowe (4th grade). Way to go!!!

Upcoming basketball camp.....2023 Fort Frye Lady Cadets Basketball Camp will be held May 31-June 2 from 9 am-12 pm. Cost is $35. This camp is for any girls entering grades 3rd - 8th. Camp will be in the high school gymnasium.
